I used a fuel preservative (only down 2 1/2 months) but when I fired her up I had minimal spark and the cylinders getting a good gas rinse. The gas is good. I pulled and cleaned the plugs and got the same result. It only has 1,400 miles. Any ideas before I call the dealer? Thanks.

If you have good spark and compression, perhaps it is the obvious, the motor may be flooded. Even with the preservative you may have to flush out some of the old gas to get some that will flash off easier. One thing I have tried is hooking up a boost battery to enable the motor to spin over faster. My 750 is very cranky after being left Idle for a time and needs a little help to get going.
How is the compression? Did the gas flush wash all the oil from the rings?

You probably flooded it.Mine did the same thing and all i did was let it sit for a day and it fired right up.Fuel injection is tricky, its hard not to give it a little throttle when it won't start right up,but then its flooded.By the way, sweet ride huh!I have the '06 2000LT.I can't wait to ride.we just got another 16"snow here in NH so I'll just have to wait again.I do keep mine in a semi-heated area(stays above 32)and it only failed to start the one time i fiddled with the throttle.

I have owned numerous motorcycles and every one of them would discharge the battery after only a short down time. If you have a trickle charger, you should try to charge the battery and try again. Good luck, I know how it sucks to have you motorcycle broken.
