I know the question sounds a little naive. But in my case my engine broke, and yes the mechanic told me that there was no water in the radiator, BUT the heat indicator never signaled that the engine was hot.
I just want to make sure that my engine collapsed because I bought a used engine? Or, because there was no water in the radiator? And I don't remember ever putting any water to the radiator because it never indicated overheating.
I have to decide if I get a re-built engine or used like before. Nevertheless from now on, I'll make sure I put water every two weeks if necessary.
I appreciate your help and expertise in the subject.
