I think your in the same problems as me! I was coming home from a Friends house and the light turned amber. thought if i stopped i would over run and then land up in middle of junctions so carried on, but it turned red just before i went over the line and i saw the thing flash, but only once! So not sure if it got me or not! by sadly for me i have 3 points already for hitting a car and not a dog in Jan!!! I am only allowed to have 6 points as i only passed my test in June 06!
I fine is £60-£80 and 3 points. Having spoken to my friends they have told me that they don't always send pictures so request them. but beware if you try to protest them they normally fine you more or up the points!
I wish you luck and hope it does not come through! I will be doing the same :) At least we will learn, i will not do it again and there is not point worrying about it as you cant do anything about it now!

£60 and 3 points on your license. They got me just before Christmas last year. There was a police car flashing its bright blue light right behind me at the traffic lights and I got so distracted by it, I honestly didn't see the lights changing and they literally just went red as my back tyres crossed the line. I was only travelling at about 14 mph and I wrote a letter of appeal, but they still went ahead and penalised me!

The fine is £60 and 3 points on your license. But you can take out insurance (Driving ban assistance) that can cover you up to 6months that helps you with alternative transport in the case of getting banned. They pay up to £1000 per month and you can apply on line.

ooooh
that will be three penalty points on your license and a £60 fine.
These are non discretionary, You will get them if you do it.
Could be worse if you contest the fine and go to court... could get anything at all upwards of the fine and three points. ouch
DONT DO IT for gods sake dont do it ;-D
