I am answering this question on a personal level,this is what I would do.
First of all..... are your car doors locked up too?
If not.... I would try to get into the trunk though the back seat.
If that failed...... You have choice of either knocking out the lock of the trunk....... OR call a locksmith if you don't have
a second set of keys for the car.

Try the old coat hanger trick. If that doesn't work, then call a service station or lock smith. Maybe the folks at a hardware store can help.

Most vehicles have tag which gives most important numbers to color, engine, transmission, keys, etc. Most locksmiths will know which one. Unfortunately, you have to pay him, but then you'll save the number, right? Good Luck !!

If you have a late model vehicle that requires a coded key, then you should contact your nearest car dealer. Have the vehicle's make, model & VIN handy.
These keys are expensive. . .

Call a locksmith if you don't have an extra set of keys. It is your least expensive option. Do you have AAA?
