the abs light shows a fault with the system. it will fail the mot because the braking system has a fault. a diagnostic check will tell you the faulty component(possibly a sensor at a wheel)

It will depend on the tester, I dont think it will fail providing the braking eficiency is up to scratch.

I've had cars pass with the abs light on, in most cases its just a bit corrosion on the sensor.

No, MOT testers do not usually sit in the car, you do and they tell you what to operate, a faulty light is not a bar, check it out though, it could be telling you something.

yes it will fail light on shows a fault look behind brake disc check there is not a loose or disconnected wire

definately mot failure but if bulb isn't there they cant,t see it brakes will still work fine
