Yes it can be towed. When you signed your lease you signed several addendums as well stating that vehicles must be in working order and properly registered.
They don't care if you paid for your stickers and never got them...that's between you and the DMV.....and why so many people GO TO THE DMV to pick up their stickers & register their car........

It is private property and they can do what they want. Without that sticker, the car is not legally allowed on the road.
Find whoever threatened you and show them the documentation and they should get off your back.
It must be another tenant who wants your parking space. If possible move to a space towards the rear of the lot, that may get them off your back.
Finally, with proof in hand, go to the DMV and if they won't give you a sticker then have them give you a temporary plate to use until you get the sticker. In KY, they are made from cardboard and are taped in the rear window usually.

Yes your car can be towed without current stickers. Just because you pay rent on YOUR apartment doesn't mean you OWN the property it sits on. The property owner has the right to have your car towed at any time...you should have read your rental agreement (contract) because it is stated in there.

Yes, and it's probably posted in the rules somewhere. Read the papers you signed when you moved in, it's probably covered there as well.
Usually something on the order of "Parking for tenants only, vehicles must be registered, insured and in good running order or they may be towed at tenants expense"
If you are driving it everyday with expired tags, count yourself lucky you haven't been stopped and ticketed yet.

If it is in your lease, yes. However, if you provide proof your vehicle is registered and insured, they should ignore the fact your sticker is missing. Here in Manitoba it takes 1 minute, 1 signature, and $15 to get a replacement sticker.

in most cities, your car can be towed for expired plates, and expired registration. its that way here in wi. if you havent received a sticker its up to you to follow up on that matter. you should know when your registration is up.

it sucks, but since its private property they can do what they want. Not much you can do about it.
