I have a 1997 nissan won,t start have spark and gas at the out side of gas filter whats wrong?

Fuel pressure? Fuel pump problem? Has it been sitting? Fuel injectors getting a pulse?

Check the lines from the fuel filter and sure they are allowing fuel to the engine.

i bet you have a altima even though you didn't say .. if so you have a bad distributor due to a oil leak at the cam shaft sensor inside of it
