I have a 02 Grand Am. I notcie oil on the ground this morning and check to see where is it coming from. I looked under the hood and saw it coming out from the rubber valve cover that hold the engine top plate n bottom plate together. I don't see any antifreeze leak just oil. My car is running fine. No over heating, no burning or funny smells, and no heavy smoke coming out the tale pipe. My question: Do u think it's just a wore out valve cover or a broken head gasket? If a gasket, would oil leak from the engine and more than one place?

I have a 99 grand am and it has nothing but water in the radiator. I went to start it this morning and let it run for 20min, when I went to leave the temp gauge was in the red. Could this be caused by just having water in the radiator? Would a flush and refill wil antifreeze fix the problem? Or could it be something worse?

I checked a used vehicle through car fax and it has three dates in which the vehicle was serviced. It does not mention what was serviced, just says "Vehicle Serivced." Is there any way of finding out what exactly was serviced or what it means?

My friend has a first generation Saturn SL1 trim with a SOHC LI4 LKD engine that wont last much longer. He wants to swap it with the more powerful DOHC SL2 trim engine. Does anyone know a WEBSITE where he can buy a used Saturn engine? don't say junkyards, because we've looked, and apparaently thats not a website. (durr) Thanx in advance.

I have a 2001 Alero (3.4/V6) and I smell antifreeze and recently just had it flushed because it was low and my heater only worked when the car was moving. I found out it takes dexcool (expensive crap) and if problems exist 9 times out of 10 it's the lower intake gasket. Do you think I'm on the right track?

Sequence of events.

I was smelling anti freeze
then heater would only heat when moving
discovered ant freeze was low
had garage flush and add new antifreeze
2 days ago car got very hot, then enging cooling kicked in...but about three idiot lights came on (totally unrelated like TRAC)
also, the last couple times i hear like a air noise like you would hear coming from a balloon (almost like a fart).
