Okay, this is my specialized field. I drive a 12.437 second Grand Prix GTP. I am all about grand prix performance, and i would love to help you get started with modding your car. First off, do you have the GTP or just a GT/SE model for the 40th? If it's just a GT, start off by finding a used M90 Supercharger(stock superchargers for GTP's). You will need to buy a M90 Conversion kit for it. Fairly easy install. Next, go with a 180 thermostat, Autolite 104's are what most Grand Prix drivers use with modded cars. Next, get your exhaust done with 3" Downpipe. After that, look at buying a new supercharger Modular pulley system(go with 3.4" at first) and than move down as your car can handle more. Get yourself some sort of Cold air intake, or Fender well intake after you do those things. You will want to get your PCM (Computer chip) reprogrammed after this. You can buy a DHP Powertuner for about $400. This way you have the ability to reconfigure your PCM as you upgrade with your pieces. You will also need to get a throttle body spacer sometime while doing these basic mods. After you finsih with the basics, think about getting an Intercooler, or a Gen V supercharger (04+ Superchargers)These superchargers create about 1.5 psi more boost than the regular Gen 3's or the M90's (same thing). After the intercooler, you could go with 1.90 or 1.95 Rockers, or a Cam. I'd go with rockers at first though. Than you'll want to read up more into what you want to do after that. There are many different options. For the performance parts, goto http://www.zzperformance.com http://www.intense-racing.com/

and than goto http://www.clubgp.com and check out the forums for great reading. They are a great group of people, so enjoy yourself while your there. Hope this helps a little bit!

I've never thought of a W-body of any year to be considered "muscle" cars, maybe except the 60's W-body, so if that's what you're looking for, perhaps you should buy a firebird or something. I own an '06 Grand Prix GT, with the supercharger and despite its weight, it's got some muscle, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it one, at least not until I get a smaller pulley, a chip, and an intake. As far as it "looking" like a black person's car, I don't see what difference it would make, and to make an assumption such as that, it would indeed appear that you have some race issues. I doubt very seriously that Pontiac marketed the car as a "black persons only" model. And aside from having 17" or 18" wheels and lowered suspension, it is a performance oriented mod, not a "big pimpin" one. You've got issues, man. I have NEVER heard that in all of my 30 years.
