I got a ticket today for an expired inspection,,,,,75 bucks. I went and had the inspection right afterwards. I thought for some reason my inspection wasnt due till this month instead it was due in October. Do u think i can get out of paying the ticket if i bring in proof that i had the inspection done and that its only one day that i missed?

I found what seems to be a really nice Silverado-king cab truck -it is in very nice condition--a little over 100,000 miles loaded with power options etc. Is this a good price? Did test drive and it runs pretty good...so what do ya's think?

I bought a used car from a dealer. The car was purchased as- is( no warranty). Well I drove the car for one day and discovered it had a ton of problems, which the dealer had not told me about. Now, If I decide to keep the car, I'll spend more than a thousand bucks for repair and I bought it at two thousand. My question is do I take back the car and demand my money? will the dealer give me back my money. I bought the car on Monday this week.

A mechanic friend of mine is setting up as a car dealer, working initially from home. Apart from the obligaory Arther Daley sheepskin jacket and trilby hat, what sorts of things should he be doing to make his venture a success?
Are there any books or websites called "how to be a car trader" or similar?
Thanks

BTW we recently bought two Rovers, and are having trouble selling them, so its questions such as is it better to try to sell cars in Autotrader or the web or notices in shops etc. Or export them to Ethiopia (I'm joking)

Wow, I've rode in a pontiac pursuit of a friend of mine's the other day, and it's very small. There is an extraordinarily surpirsingly small amount of rear leg room. Sitting behind a 5'4 passenger, I had to take off my shoes to fit my feet. I am only 5'10" myself. As well, today, the front passenger side wheel became loose, and it's only 1 month old. The wheel was wobbling dramatically, and almost fell off. Everyone was staring, and pointing at it. I haven't been talking to him since, but, doesn't that seem a bit strange for a 1 month old car? As well, on the two front doors, the place you put your hand in to close the door, they became loose, and wouldn't stay down on the door. Both fell out, and required dealer repair. This is something you'd be hearing about in a OLD vehicle. Is this actually that much better than a Sunfire?

For those who responded to my question regarding my starter, thanks.I replaced the starter 3 times within the last 2 days and when i start it,it still has that grinding sound like the teeth in the cone hasn't released.I even replaced it with a ford starter.could it be the ignition switch under the dash keeping the current flowing?I noticed a wire on the switch was spliced before.Alt,battaries, and solonoid on fender is new also.Hope someone can help me.Thanks......John
