The car draws power from the battery while it's running. I am assuming that after a while your lights go dim, etc etc and then you can't start your car.

This points to the alternator. It is not charging the battery. Did you put an ammeter on it to see how well it's charging?

Get a volt meter. Put it on dc voltage. Remove the positive battery cable. Touch one probe to the cable and one to the positive post on the battery. Open up fuse panel and start pulling fuses out one at a time and see if the voltage dropped considerably. If not replace the fuse and pull another one. Till you've gone throught all the fuses. The fuse or relay you pull that drops the voltage the most is for what ever is draining the battery. Replace or inspect that part to see what's making it drain.
