I just put in 5 fresh quarts of oil, do i need to put more for it to read above min? How many quarts does this car realy need?

Normally to fill from min to max is one quart. But K>I>S>S Keep it simple stupid. Add half a quart, wait 1 min and pull dipstick and check. If it's right in the middle add the other half. If it's more than half way just add small amounts till at the max mark. PS If you didn't start the car and you just changes the oil the oil filter is empty. It may actually be less than minimum. But still do the above.

Make sure the dip stick is going in completely.

if you did what stupid guy says and it still dosent work then your seal may be cracked or dry rotted just try adding oil and if it dosent work contact my fiance at sethrussell89@yahoo.com
