should i buy this car nissan if it has a bad seqenizer with it? I know its a major part just wanted other opinions. Thanks!

I just received a bill from the DMV for next years license tags. Of course, it comes with the requirement of proof of insurance, smog inspection etc...none of which I can provide because I don't have the car!! I also don't have the new owner's name and address (who lives 400 miles from me) and the DMV says I'm still the owner and owe for the tags even though I sent them the paperwork to take this car out of my name and they lost it. Have you been there? What did you do?

A few days ago after I finished pumping gas and as I closed the gas cap, a little pin popped out "see -

I knew it came from somewhere by the gas cap but didn't see exactly where. I thought nothing of it, grabbed the pin and saved it. Today when I tried to pull up the little lever from under the seat to open the cap, it would not open. I tried to play around with it using a screwdriver, and pop it open, but I knew if I forced it it would break. Someone help, I need gas and can't open my gas tank.

Someone hit my car and he admits responsibility. He wanted to pay me with cash instead of going through insurance. But the bill is 1,700 to repair and now he wants me to go to his autoshop for an esitmate. When I get there, the mechanic who is is brother in law said he will fix the car and get it back to me in a few days. I was surprised since I thought I was just getting an estimate. So I am thinking. Should I just have them fix the car. The guy who hit me seems honest since he could have just left the scene. He is also my neighbor but doesn't live very close. I want to give him a break by lowering his cost to repair my car but I am worried about

1) his repair shop doing a bad job,

2) needing to rent a car and charging him for it later if the job is not done in time

3) Hidden damage like my radiator which you can't tell needs replacing until you pull the bumper off.

Please help.

I drive a truck for a living. I try to stay in the right hand lane, mind my own business. Why can't people merge correctly? Especially people in Missouri!! Why do you all insist on driving 45 mph ALL THE WAY TO THE END of a 3/4 mile long ACCELARTION ramp, pull out in front of me doing 20 mph under the speed limit, forcing me to take evasive action, then accelearrating ONLY AFTER I have to react. I just drove across Missouri today and this happened dozens of times. What do you folks think that mirror on your door is for? and they call it an accelaration ramp for a reason. HIT THE GAS! NOT THE BRAKE!!!

hurting the alternator? How will I know? Does the "nest material" from the mice have to come out of the alternator? This alternator has air vents, and thus the mice got into it. It's running fine so far, but this is a nice car, and I want to make sure.

A mouse got into my engine of my 04 Corvette, and ate away the insulation lining under the hood of the car. I call the insurance company and they say I am covered under my comprehensive to replace the insulator and to check for any other damage done by the mice; like chewing the wires, etc. Well, these mice stuffed this insulation into the air vents of the alternator, and may well have been inside it too, while building this nest. The insurance claims man says they will take care of the insulator and also any chewed up wiring, but they won't pay to get my alternator cleaned out. The key word is "clean". He says it's a simple clean; I say it is a "repair", as the mice may have damaged the alternator by filling it with their nest. The dealer says they have to take the alternator off and dissassemble it to see if it is damaged and to clean it too, but this will cost a LOT. Should the ins co. be paying for this or not?
