I drive a truck for a living. I try to stay in the right hand lane, mind my own business. Why can't people merge correctly? Especially people in Missouri!! Why do you all insist on driving 45 mph ALL THE WAY TO THE END of a 3/4 mile long ACCELARTION ramp, pull out in front of me doing 20 mph under the speed limit, forcing me to take evasive action, then accelearrating ONLY AFTER I have to react. I just drove across Missouri today and this happened dozens of times. What do you folks think that mirror on your door is for? and they call it an accelaration ramp for a reason. HIT THE GAS! NOT THE BRAKE!!!

I can't answer for the folks in Missouri, but, as for me, I *have* to merge at 45, because it's dangerous to go any faster when your eyes are slammed shut in primal fear.

I grew up in Missouri, so I resent your remark. I live in Virginia now, and the people here are WAY worse than Missouri drivers. But I do relate to what you're complaining about. I see the same crap everyday on my drive to and from work. I can't f**king stand getting stuck behind some idiot who's terrified of driving anywhere, and pokes along at 35 down the on-ramp to the interstate. You're right. It's an ACCELERATION lane!!! The gas pedal is on the right side. Plant your foot on that damn thing and get the hell outta my way. And there's the road I have to deal with every day.... It's a 4 lane highway, but not an interstate, so there's all kinds of turn-off's, and left turn-offs and $h1t. People poke along in the left lane for miles just because they're nervous of switching lanes. If you're driving under the speed limit, keep your chicken$h1t @$$ in the right lane up until about a half mile before your left turn. If any of my comments offend you, consider this... You're probably exactly like the people I'm referring to in my ranting. And people like me wouldn't be as p1$$ed off if there were less people like you on the road. If you're too afraid to drive at least the speed limit, stay outta the left lane. If you're upset by people like me passing you in the right lane, honking my horn and flipping you the middle finger, it's your own fault. You people are the cause of road rage, not people like me.

It's a little hard to comment because I'm in Australia and our road rules are similar but not the same. 1. sounds like some serious "road rage" and that is an offence here, even if it's an amublance (of course, if the paramedic driver has a paramedic buddy who stick up for him, you story means nothing). 2. Yes, you should have reported it. 3. Australian roads do not have minimum speeds. If you turn into a suburban main road doing 35 mph and the road has a legal limit of 55mph, then anyone coming up behind you must adjust to your speed or change lanes. They may feel aggrieved, but because we have no legal minimum, it's tough luck for them if you have turned safely onto the street but are driving slowly. 4. Personally, I would report the ambulance to its owner service first. Paramedics live on adrenalin but they are great when you need help. If their employer doesn't take it seriously, report it to the police.

hahahahaha never been to Missouri but people do that sort of thing everywhere! I hate that, its one of my biggest pet peeves and to top it all off, the horn in my car doesn't work (the fuse or something) and I even got a tailgating ticket once because i was in a 65mph freeway and the person in front of me was going like 30 or less and I couldn't pass them because I was on the right lane and I needed to stay there to get off on the next off ramp. Well I got the ticket, I couldn't go any slower so if i was tailgating, it wasn't on purpose. I was mad because there is also laws against going too slow and stopping traffic and I think the person in front of me should have got the ticket not me! :(

all im trying to say is, I feel your pain

Well I can tell you this happens everywhere but try this on. You are geting on the freeway third in line and the idiot ahead of the on in front of you comes to a complete stop at the end of the ramp causing you and everyone else to panic stop. It's either people don't know how to drive or they are so pre-occupied the they can't see out their windows and realise the they are not the only ones on the f***ing planet! So to those who prefer to drive with your cell phone plugged in, please don't occupy my piece of asphault.
