That's not the most excessive period of time. You didn't tell us a lot of stuff we really need to know. First of all, when was the last time you spoke with the insurance company, and at that time what were you told? Do you have first party benefits coverage with your insurance company? If so, you should have them pay your bills. Liability coverage for bodily injury is not a "bill paying" coverage. They settle with you when your treatment is complete and you are not missing any more time from work. Why did you miss three weeks from work but only have an ambulance ride?

So what's your question really? Here's what the company needs to settle your claim- all medical records and lost wage information to verify with your employer. Do they have that yet? Follow up with them to determine if they do. If they have everything ask them to settle, tell them what you want to settle (don't expect a windfall, you sound like you weren't hurt that badly). Not sure what else to tell you, but 5 months is not alarming, but your case should be close to settling if you're no longer seeing a doctor or missing work.
