My SUV comes with 215/70R16 Bridgestone or Yokomaha tires. But they suffer from aqua-planning. The shops recomended upgrading to 17" rims and tyres, but that is too costly. So the next size with good aqua-thread is 225/60R16 Kumho KH11 tires. Besides the effect of lowering my car by 34mm, what other possible disadvantage will the smaller tires post?

So let's just say one of my friends was caught in Ilinois speeding in a construction zone. How do they get off the ticket, or what is the besty course of action? They have to go to court, should they pay for an expensive lawyer, etc.?

A big fat mouse vandalized 5 of my cars by chewing up all the plastic containers (washer fluid, coolant, etc) and wires and such.... probably did about $500 in damages. Are these usually covered by the comp portion of the insurance? I can't find my policy at the moment and the company is closed today.

Btw, I caught the mouse, it pooped on itself when I caught it by the tail, then crushed it. Felt so good.

i've heard that if you change the stock exhaust system of a car you lose torque when you incremente too much the diameter of the pipe or if the length of the pipe is too short. Is this true? if the answer is yes, why does it happen.
Any links?

Has anyone ever heard of this. I am looking at a 1996 F-150 4X4 the truck seems to pull to the right while I was test driving it. I took the truck to a local garge to have it looked at with the owner because I nevered owned a Ford before and wanted to put this on a lift to get a good look at the under body!! While I was checking the ball joints I can't get any play in the ball joints but the mechanic stated that Fords ball joints don't useually go loose and that they normally gauled up. Now being used to owning Chevy's for years I have never really heard of this. And to me when a ball joint goes bad there is usually play in it right?

My parents car is about a 1990 model. It is a Mazda. This morning it would not start so I tried to give it battery from my car. The car still would not start.
It is now on my parents driveway and when they attempt to start it, you can hear it trying and then it makes a "boom" sound. They don't have road side assistance so they are trying to figure out what it wrong and fix the problem themselves, my dad is pretty handy. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? They only ever drive it around town so it has low mileage and looks great.

I know it's important to wear a seat belt I usually always wear mine. What I don't understand is why I get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt but the kids on the school bus don't even have one to wear. The guy on the motorcycle doesn't have one and half the time he's not wearing a helmet. Can anyone make sense of this?

The fuel guage has no litres marking except Empty mark. It is difficult to know whetehr you have 5 ltrs or 8ltrs or 15 before you plan your trip or whether the gas station has filled in the fuel correctly. The system seems to be poorly designed. Has any one calibrated the guage, like 3marks from E is say 5 ltrs or 12`o clock positon is 14ltrs m 11`oclock position 8ltrs etc?? OR has any one fitted a digital guage[meter] for the fuel level reading??
