i recently graduated as an RN and im saving up for a downpayment for a car. my credit is so so, and im trying to pay off my credit cards right now. my question is since im new at the job and my credit is not that good, would i have any problems getting the car that i want? i would appreciate any comments or help on this matter thank you

Congrats on your recent diploma!!!!!
Ford Motor Credit has a "Recent College Grad Program" just for people like you !!!!! (Had it for YEARS)

btw.....I have the utmost respect for RN's....I wouldn't have survived caring for an ill parent for years without them.!

Ford and GM both have their own financial institution and both are desperate to sell new cars right now so they have relaxed the credit requirements to get financing ... if you have a down payment and your credit isn't total crap you should have no problem getting a new Ford or GM car that is within your budget. However if you are looking to get an import... they have not had the sales slow down that the domestic market has seen ... so they are not as apt to accept marginal credit risks unless you are willing to pay a very high interest rate. Congrats on making it through nursing school .. hope it goes well for you.
