My car is making a scrapping sound while I'm driving? The sound is off and on and I can semi-control it by tapping the breaks, but it will begin again if I make a turn or hit a bump. If it's not the breaks, what could it be?

My fabric seats stain easily because anything wet that gets on them sucks right in and is hard to dry or get out. How can I get the stains out of my fabric seats?

I had a brand new alterntor and battery put in 3weeks ago yet the alternator seems to keep drainin the power out of the battery and this is the third new alternator Ive purchased and had put in, in the last 3 months ive taken it to two different mechanics and both mentioned it may have an electrical shortage and definatly need ANOTHER new alternator ($$$$$) as to why it keeps shutting down on me, but i'm of weary of taking it to another shop or the dealership to be fixed, i ALLWAYS GET RIPPED OFF and ALLWAYS pay too much for car parts and work that dont fix my car, any recomendations, suggestions, advice would help tremendously. I dont have very much money to work with and i really, really, really need my car. Coincidentilly everything is "electronicly powered" I couldnt even roll the windows up or take the key out of the ignition without needing a jump, i'm so frustrated and ignorant about what is wrong and what to do about it help !!!!!!please!!!

My a/c evidently has a freeon leak. This is it's third time in the shop. First they just refilled the freeon to see how long it lasted to determine if I had a leak. Compressor works fine! Second time in they replaced a switch or a sensor, I am not sure my husband knows what they did, and also they tightened some bolts that were loose. Now my truck is sitting in the shop currently for the third time and no one seems to be able to find the problem, or the source of a problem. anyone have similar experiences, or know of a possible solution, or even what is causing the problem?

I am curious, the company apparently owes Ford and other Ford companies something like 615m in equity. To Ford, the company is less than worthless, it is a money pit that keeps on costing them money.

I am very curious as to the amount of money they would want, or if they are more interested in what the buyer has to offer as far as revitalizing the company.

i went to get a quote on a car i've been looking at.
i wasn't thinking, & went by myself, even though i was sure they'd take advantage of me (i'm young, naive, never bought a car before, etc etc etc.)

so after getting the quote i needed, i told the salesman that i wanted to go home & let it marinate before making my decision.. but i felt like he wouldn't let me leave until i signed the contract! every excuse i made, he came up with a solution... just so i'd leave that lot with the car.

i was pressured.

i looked over my finaces (and the contract/super-high interest rate) & i know i can't afford it. so about an hour later, i took the car back. told them i made a HUGE mistake. they said they couldn't do a damn thing about it.

i'm stuck.

and i feel that the only way out is to not pay.
let them reposses the car.

i don't want to ruin my credit. & i don't even know if i'd have to pay anything after they take the car from me.

help??

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala. Some times the security light comes on and then a day or so later it won't start, but after you keep trying for 15 or 20 minutes it will start. What could be causing this problem, some on told me it could be my ignition, since I don't have the orginial keys to it(which it didn't come with since i bought it used).

guys, would you rather have a 2005 Venturi Fétish, or, audi le-mans quattro R8?
I mean, for an electric car, the Venturi Fetish has 300 hp and only one gear, so considering thats pretty good.
But, the audi le-mans quattro R8, has 420 hp.
So, which one would you rather have, cuz at this point, im leaning toward the audi with the most horse power.

i was driving a green rover 418 reg no j383 eah when i got bagged and failed i know i shouldnt have got banned for 20 months then i got a friend to drive it to the garage man he had to put a stripe on the side of it in order to sell it for me. he assured me that it would be kept off the road . i let tax and insurance run its course . the next thing i get two parking fines through the post i called him up he said dont worry about them bring them to him and he woud sort them out. i done that few weeks went by more landed . i went to the garage and he was gone to iraq for a few weeks thats what his brother said and then the garage was closed . bailiffs started calling so i had to get a solictor he has kept them away but unfortunetly my credit rating is now bad over this does anybody know about anything like this. there is a reward for catching the driver
