I have a Ford Escort and I love it. Its a lot like a caviler or a sun fire. Small and cute. They no longer make Escorts so you would have to buy a used car. My Escort is the first car that I have ever had and its reliable. I have known a few people that have Escorts also and their cars have over 150,000 miles one it. and are newer than mine and still going strong. I have a 99 with only 70,000. I hope that helped you.

i agree with one of the girls up top.
if you're a new driver, don't get something so expensive. get a reliable little beater that'll get you around for a couple of years. don't spend more than 3-5 thou on it. that way, if you do wreck it, you won't feel too terrible. you can put your dents and dings in it, give it character... and after you've had your fun and it starts to die out on you a few years later, go get something beautiful. trust me, you'll repect it more.

my suggestion? get an older honda civic or an accord. they are, in their own right, repectible little cars that'll last a while for the price you pay.

You should be driving a 1990 crown victoria. Something slow and safe. Kids cause too many accidents to have anything that handles well or is quick on the road.

I love my Hyundai. I originally bought it for the warranty because my husband was commuting (we put 40K on in 12 months). I fell in love with it though. It has great power for a little 4 banger. It also has side curtain air bags in addition to the ones in the dash. I think we paid about $18K for it brand new.

VW Jetta all the way. You can get a nice used one... probably around a 2000-2001 for that price. The vw golf is also nice, but smaller. Mazda's 3's are sexy too... but I am a VW lover.
