Grand cherokees have more room. My family has 2 grands and 1 cherokee. The cherokees are a lot more comfortable.

If you're an 18 year old living in Pittusburgh, I think you'll find a Wrangler is a lot more fun. It is true that a Cherokee is probably more practical, it is just another tall heavy stationwagon that uses too much gas.

A Wrangler is a real jeep. You can take the top off, cruise with the sun in your face. You can get a bikini top to have the breeze blowing through but not bake.

There are many places not too far from where you live that you can go four wheeling if you'd like. There is a brother-hood in the real jeeps that doesn't exist in the Cherokee.

You have plenty of time to own a station wagon when you get older, settle down and have a family.

At 18, a Wrangler has as much room as you'll need. Its much more fun and infinitly more cool.

If you need any more incentive, I'm 40 years old, and when I cruise around in my lifted yellow 86 CJ7 (a little cooler than a Wrangler, but hard to find and keep running) young women still hang out the windows of passing cars, or greet me on the street when I park and say "I love your jeep". For me, I just smile and say thank you (these girls are as young as my children), but for you? He, nothing like giving them a reason to strike up a conversation. That doesn't happen in a Cherokee.

We have a Grand Cheerokee Limited...Wouldn't trade it for the world. Also better with these Pittsburgh winters.

Depends on your needs.

The Cherokee will tow more, carry more and protect you better in an accident.

The Wrangler will be more nimble on the trail if you plan to go off-road. You can also take the top off in warm weather and have a convertable. They may be more prone to tipping in a sudden swerve though, I think. And the soft top means anything inside can be easy prey to anyone with a knife and a few moments alone.

Unless you want to do a lot of off-road work, or there's a major price difference, I'd go with the Cherokee.

Grand Cherokee--more comfortable, more room and more practical than the jeep. Plus I think jeeps scream pretty boy...unless that is what you are going for.

Good Luck--JammieGirl.

What will be doing with the Jeep? Any modifications, do you need 4WD? You need to think about the long run, it is for having fun or daily driving.

feels like the output of the capability guidance pump isn't so severe anymore. Head over to the mechanic and characteristic him deploy a sparkling capability guidance pump. it's going to save you a ton of headache and sophisticated artwork expenses to truly have the subject clinically determined. I only had that happen in 2 of my GMC automobiles, the two certainly one of which I replaced the capability guidance pumps in and that they artwork great now. good success including your Jeep!

I would think that a Grand Cherokee would be safer.
