My husband has a ford taurus,(yes, I know they are pieces of sh*t) anyway, he was driving around 60 mph and all of a sudden the spedometer went to zero and the car started shaking a little, kinda like reving, then it returned to 60mph and it felt like someone slammed on the brakes and the spedometer went back to zero. What the heck could that be, we are taking it to a shop in about a week.

My husband and I (and my in-laws) are wanting to buy an electric vehicle or convert our vehicle into an EV. We have found a person (who wants to remain anonymous) in Dallas who will convert our vehicle for $20K. He claims he can get us 100+ MPH and charge in 3.5 hours with a range of 450-500 miles per charge. He runs another business making electric bicycles and golf cart sort of stuff. He says he has been doing this for 25 years and has just finished several racing cars to be EVs. He uses a hydrogen-cadmium battery. Anyways, what kind of questions should I ask so I know if I am getting a good deal?

I have a 1996 Camaro RS (3800II). I use only Dex Cool per the manufacturers specs. I do not see any coolant when I stop or when the car sits outside. Yet, I'm constantly adding coolant (the level is very low). Nothing is wet under the hood or the bottom of the vehicle. I can smell coolant when the AC is on and I am driving. Are there any suggestions?

My gas milage is really upsetting me. At first it was really good. I was getting 39 mpg. Then, I've been noticing it is getting worse. I haven't calculated it yet but at point A I will be at 3/4 tank and at point B (say about 20 miles later) I am almost at 1/2. A few weeks ago, should I make this trip, I could barely notice if I've gone down.

I've added a gas treatment two weeks ago.

What is wrong with my poor Beverly?

My first was a '61 Chevy ragtop. And my second was a '70 Edsel with no reverse - had to push it backwards when parallel parked. Also had to start it with a screwdriver - no key. :)

The clutch cable has just come off the end of my 1996 (P) 106 and the garage tells me there is a prob with clutch itself - will cost about £290. is that about right?

It works sometimes, and other times it does nothing. I can open the door with the key but the alarm goes off. I cant start the car or turn the alarm off with the key. Any suggestions on how to star the car with the key alone, or fix the remote starter? My grandpa (previouse owner) said maybe I could do something with the two switches on the underside.

I have had different answers on whether I can drive to school and work or not. Is there anything I have to do to be able to drive to school and work because behind the permit it says: 16 Yrs - No 11 pm to 6 am driving unless with 21 yr or older licensed driver or driving to and from work.

I just watched a girl run her bicycle into a parked car. I found it quite amusing despite her toppling over and probably scratching herself up pretty good.

Also, when my sister was first learning to drive, she was in an empty (except for one parked car) parking lot. She managed to hit that car.
