I have had different answers on whether I can drive to school and work or not. Is there anything I have to do to be able to drive to school and work because behind the permit it says: 16 Yrs - No 11 pm to 6 am driving unless with 21 yr or older licensed driver or driving to and from work.

On a learners permit, you have to be accompanied by an adult (A licensed driver 21 years of age or older) at all times.

Once you have your full license, you can drive without an adult between 6:01 AM and 10:59 PM. Between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM you must be accompanied by a licensed driver 21 years of age or older, unless (which is highly unlikely because of child labor laws) you are driving to and from work. You don't usually go to school after 11 PM so good luck getting away with that one.

Congradulations on getting your license. Remember, driving is a privledge, and not a right. It's very easy to lose your license for many years, or for good.

Normally, with a learner's permit you are required to have a licensed driver in the car with you, and the back says that licensed driver must be over 21 from 11pm to 6 am.

The straight answer is NO ..you cannot drive anywhere by yourself with a permit. You have to have an adult with you at all times. Look at it a different way, you are not insured as a driver until you have license.....
