I have been living in my home approx. 2 years. It is a beautiful little house and I have had in the last three months five different people come to my door asking to please contact them if I ever want to sell.

I don't know why they expressed interest other than my property is in a very nice part of SE Wisconsin, lake view, elementary school very close by (just walk through backyard).

I never considered selling. Until now.

Due to a death in the family it seems prudent that I sell this home.

Would it be better to contact these people first? Do a FSBO or Agent?

Five people in two months, each not knowing the other (I asked!) one guy offered me nearly 25K more than I owe on my mortgage. Is there something ELSE going on that I may need to find out, as to what is causing such an interest?

My landlord took me to small claims court yesterday for compensation for damages caused by a flood. The judge asked why the property insurance didn't cover it and the landlord mumbled... because we don't have insurance. At once the judge threw the case out and said that was unacceptable. Yay me!!

My question is... Is there a law stating property owner's must have insurance on their rental properties?

This house is falling down around our ears and we are now worried to stay. 2 weeks ago my husband fell through the base of the shower into the ground. The shower base gave way because the foundation below the house wasn't poured correctly. (Would you believe this house is only 7 months old?). Anyways, we are not wanting to sue, but we are worried to stay incase other damage or injuries occur. If it is the law, we are trying to find a way out of our lease now.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Is there any hope for my husband and I to buy a house with bad credit? We have terrible credit because of our past. Any bills that we have accumulated since we decided to grow up has been paid, but we haven't paid any of our old bills. We went to a credit counseling agency and they said that we owe so much money that it would be best for us to just file bankruptcy. We're afraid that doing that would really keep us from owning our own home one day. I have a credit score of five hundred and something. We are tired of renting. Please help!

Is there any reason why over a 30 year mortgage a bank has to make $260,000?

My mortgage for example I bought a house for $133,000 4 years ago. i still owe them $124,000 but i've paid them almost $45,000.

and I only have a 5.75% interest rate.

While buying my new house I asked the selling agent who owned field and trees behind us and if there were any plans for the land. Was told by the selling agent that the church across the street owned it and there were no plans for the land. 3 weeks after i moved in construction has started on building townhomes on that land that will back right up to my backyard. We now know a developer owns the land and there have been plans for 2 years now to develope this land. If i would have known this i never would have bought the house. Could this be considered fraud?

I live in Oklahoma. My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a home. We are purchasing a house for 79k on a 30 year loan. We are receiving a 10k grant from the Cherokee Nation. I wish someone would make me understand why on earth our payments are going to be $650 a month! That seems like a lot, why is it so much? Our interest rate is about 6%. It just doesn't add up to me.

The extra lot sits behind our neighbors house. None of our structures are on this land. It is just a vacant lot. My neighbors really want to buy it from us so they can build a garage. What are the hoops I have to jump through in order to be able to sell this land to them? It is a standard sized lot.

My husband is an owner/operator (truck driver) for a livestock company and when he does not work he does not get paid plus goes into debt for the next couple of weeks while he tries to make up truck payments among other things.

Anyway, he was off work for a week while his dad had emergency surgery. This put us in a big financial bind since he did not then get a check for 4 weeks. We are trying now to get caught up on bills. Our mortage payment is $450 a month and I can only send in about $300. Should I go ahead and send that in or should I wait until I have the full amount? Our payment was due May 15th and I just now have the money, so I am already late.

Thanks!

on April 30 I signed a rent lease for an apartment. The landlord said I had to pay the next months rent plus the last months rent. I thought he meant "the last month" as in the month when I move out.

My friend said I had to pay for the entire month of April for THIS year since I signed up in April even though it was on the last day. She said I still owe for the April when I move. I think that is cheap b/c the landlord said I could not move in until May 2.

I will be going to Orlando for a dicounted price as long as i sit through a Timeshare Presentation. I'm not interested in buying anything, and i have heard that the salesmen are very pushy. What is the best way to say no, or get my point across?

What was your experience?

The description is saying "subject to corporate approval" and "as is." I know as is means that nothing will be fixed, but I don't exactly know what "corporate deal" or "subject to corporate approval" means. Does this mean it was an estate and the bank owns it now? Or maybe it means it was a foreclosure or something? ALSO, I have cash to buy the house, and I'm wondering if this will help or hurt me in the bidding process of a "corporate deal." Thanks to anyone who can help me!

My adjustable rate has gone up this month and will go up again in 6 months.

Will I be able to get a fixted rate with credit scores between 680 and 720.

How do I go about it and will I have to have my home apraised? I bought the house for 160000.00 and now owe about 130000.00 on it. How much will they refinace, all of it or only 80%.

The rate is going to kill me.

We rent in CA, and for over a week there has been construction on our building. It goes on from sun up to sun down and it's very loud. I work from home and the noise makes it very difficult to focus, not to mention my new born has trouble sleeping. Per Southern California cost of living, we are paying nearly 75.00 a day to live here! What rights do tenants have in this situation? Can the company still charge us full rent under these circumstances?
