I recently applied for a mortgage, and after settling on a company and beggining the mortgage process, I received the paperwork in the mail for signature and all of a sudden, the deal changed. I am a first time home buyer, and was told I make an easy taget. Is this true, and how can I get through this process without getting ripped off?

I live in Ohio, and my lease is over January 1st. My landlord says I have to give 60 days notice before I move. Doesn't my lease ending mean that I no longer have any obligation to them (with the exception of repairs). If I am required to give 60 days notice by law, what actions can she take on me if I lease is over?

Isn't the lease there to legally require you to pay rent and not allow you to move out, so how does it work out that even though my lease is up, I'm required to pay two extra months rent because I haven't given 60 days notice yet??

I currently am publishing a quarterly real estate newsletter (I am a Realtor). I am looking for some ideas for what potential buyers and sellers would like to learn more about, so that I can make this newsletter the best it possibly can be.

I also post an e-newsletter as well, if you are interested in seeing the previous newsletters or would like to receive this type of newsletter, please visit my site, www.bestrealtor.com.

This is not meant to advertise, I really need ideas!!!!

Thank you for all your suggestions!

I signed a lease on a new place 5 days ago, paid part of the deposit, I don't have possession of the property, I don't have the keys until the rest of the deposit is paid. Can I change my mind, cancel the lease and get my deposit back?

In reading through answers to questions, I saw that one answerer stated that if the Fed raises interest rates, it will strengthen the value of the US Dollar. Is this a valid assumption?

I am paying PMI on one of my houses because I wanted to take the downpayment money to do renovations. Can I get any lisenced appraiser to find the new value of the house now that its done? Can I just take that to the bank and request PMI be dropped ?( its a local bank I always deal with ) not an out of town lender.
( assuming that the appraisal shows that I owe less than 80% of the value?)
I'm quite sure of that, we added another bathroom, another bedroom, and all new walls, carpet, and fixtures. it was a total gut job,
I just dont want to drop a grand on a new appraisal if the bank can reject it.
( yes I called the bank and they wont give me a straight answer ) they keep saying call OUR appraiser and have him look at it,
"funny how the banks appraisers always seems to think your property is worth EXACTLY what you borrow"
Thanks in advance,

I am in MI by the way.

From what I've found out, it is possible to purchase property for the back taxes that are owed, but unpaid. I would like information on how to find these properties and how to purchase them. I think there's an auction. Do I have to attend the auction in person, or is it possible to purchase online, like on ebay? I live in the central area of California (Fresno). Is the procedure different for different areas of the state or country? Is there a website where I can go to obtain more information on this subject for my area? Any information you can provide would greatly help. Thank you.

I want to buy a new house, but I still have to sell my old house. I'm afraid that I won't be able to sell the old house soon enough and I would have to worry about paying monthly for both houses if I move into new house. What would be the best way for me to handle this situation, besides telling me not to buy the new house? I really need to move. Thanks in advance!

I accepted a part-time position on tuesday which I am supposed to start tomorrow, but another company that I've been wanting to work for left me a voicemail that they want to interview me as soon as possible. Problem is this part-time job I took to have some income after not working for 5 months. Do I ditch the part-time job and hope that it works out good for this other company that will pay ALOT more and have benefits, or do I not risk it and just go to the part-time job because I have it? I am so confused because I don't want to burn my bridges. It's taken me this long to find something and it's part-time with no benefits...HELP
