I currently am publishing a quarterly real estate newsletter (I am a Realtor). I am looking for some ideas for what potential buyers and sellers would like to learn more about, so that I can make this newsletter the best it possibly can be.

I also post an e-newsletter as well, if you are interested in seeing the previous newsletters or would like to receive this type of newsletter, please visit my site, www.bestrealtor.com.

This is not meant to advertise, I really need ideas!!!!

Thank you for all your suggestions!

lead paint; radon testing; environmentally sound decorating, cleaning; landscaping in a way that uses little water and is appropriate to your local ecosystem. Fun stuff on decorating, tricks to make small rooms look big, etc. Advise on mortage products.

Just a few stuff off the top of my head.

I tried the site, and it did not come up. I just received a good e-newsletter from a loan officer that I know. He sends one out every month with a small (I think that's important) article on a tip for homeowners or home buyers or sellers.

The article today was about smoke detectors. It was short and to the point, and might save the life of someone I sent it to. (or someone they forward it to)

Sent stuff that's
short
helpful
safety stuff
seasonal (what to do with the lawn in winter)
house maintenance

email me and we can brainstorm - I want to do one too.

Here's a service that you can subscribe to. They'll put your name at the end of the website address and your pic will be there too. The newsletter content changes each month. To see previous issues, substitute a smaller number in the address (i.e. "96" instead of "97").

BTW, I designed a website for the realtor we used. If you'd like one I can design one for you too. http://www.sherryenterline.com

When I bought my first house I had no clue as to what to expect. I didn't know about Home Inspections, whether it was to my advantage to put 10% or 25% down, was mortgage or job loss insurance something I needed to consider, how to arrange a mortgage, or home/property insurance.

What's an escrow? Providing lay terminology to legal real estate terms would be helpful.

Anything that can help your potential customer become more knowledgeable will encourage them to view you as an expert.

I hope this helps.

All ofthe above ideas are good - but if the purpose of yournewsletter is to get more business (which I am assuming it is) then do this.

focus on neighborhood stats of your farm area and included as many pictures as possible of all ofthe listings and recent solds you have.

People could care less about news articles or safty tips - they want to know about thier homes value and they love looking at pictures.
