My partner and i would love to buy a house, in the region of £100,00. we'll need at least 6 months to save for surveys and deposits etc. There is some really nice houses in that price range, but how steady is the market, and how fast are prices going up? I dont want to wait too long, cause it might be too late to get anything decent. any advice, and how long can i afford to save for???

My landlord is being uncooperative and I'm having hard time finding my rights without speaking to a lawyer (too poor to afford a lawyer). In August I went in to extend the lease that was going to end in August. However, the lady made a mistake and started my new lease in November! Then about a week after (before Sept. even starts) I got engaged, and asked my landlord if the lease could be adjusted so I could move. She said I signed what I signed and it didn't matter if they messed up. Now I'm ver concerned about being stuck with extra rent for months I don't intend to live there. I plan to ask a superior of hers today about the situation. Do you have any further advice?

Surely not Estate Agents!

Assuming you are still working and earning the same of slightly better money how can it be that if your house was put back on the property market (assuming it has made money) you would not be able to afford to buy it? I.e i paid £97000 for my flat 5 years ago, its now worth £210,000 because of the increase in property prices. I would not be able to afford to buy it at the new sale price as no lender would lend me enough money based on my wage! Surely this is an indication of an economy going bad? Surely wages should rise in line with the property market?

Upon inspection, 2 month-to-month tenants left house in bad shape and want their deposit back!

We did not charge for wear and tear, etc. only what the lease said--maintain yard, clean house professionally when you leave, remove trash, no unprofessional painting by tenants

Heres the damage:
8-10, 2 inch holes in sheetrock from tenant shelf, bad self-painting jobs in 2 rooms, deeply scratched hardwoods in 3 rooms, bags of trash outside (they cancelled trash service so it was $50 for the city to take it), a garage filled with their unwanted items, dead lawn and no mowing, extremely dirty bathrooms (we had the place professionally cleaned before their move-in), 2 doors damaged from pet scratching and other dog damage, white paint splatters on new deck, etc.
in addition, they painted 2 other rooms mid-lease and asked if we would repaint them when one roommate left (we did as a courtesy).
Now they want their dep. back, even though we gave back 1/3 of it-too much! I have pics. of ALL

I need photo's of a 2000 town and country cavalier manufactured home or the floor plan. This is a 16 X 80 single wide 3 bd ~2 bath
This is for a law suit I have against a guy who trashed it, and I have to show the courts and the insurance company what the home looked like before. I don't have enough photos of what it looked like to show the difference. Any help or websites would be appreciated. Thanks

I've spotted something I'm interested in, but don't know the ins and outs of buying a home. I do understand amortization, loans, interest rates and tax impact (as I am an accountant), but nothing really about the offer and buying process itself.

I'm looking for resources, whether online, recommended books or personal insight.

My main objective - to not get caught with the wool over my eyes.

Thanks!!

Think real estate agent suggested listing price to low, that way it sold quickly. Got an offer for listing price on first day shown. Do I have to accept this offer, when I think I want more for the house.

We are paying rent for 1800 a month for the last 5 years and we feel that we are really wasting our money . We have been offered a 300-350K for a mortgage on a fixed interest of 6.5%. Our dilema is that how much will we get back after 10 years if we bought a 300K house and sell it in 10 years time. We need the cash then to start life in another country where cost of living is lower. What will actually happen if we can only sell the house at the price we pay for it when we buy the house. We really appreciate your response very much.
