I am looking to purchase a townhouse or condo in northern nj. So far I have tried rent.com, craigslist.com, century.com, and yahoo.com. Does anyone know any good and valid websites to search on? Also, does anybody know how to calculate how much a monthly mortgage payment would be and what is a going monthly rate for this (ex: 6%, 8%, 12%, etc.)? Thanks for your help.

My job is fairly low paid (16k), I am in the process of looking for another one as is my partner. I have a reasonable deposit (20k). The thing I want to know is what companies are likely to take me on mortgage wise, also how easy/ difficult is it to get a mortgage. realistically I want to know what I'm up against and how to increase my changes (rather than the obvious of earn ££££££).
I am a complete novice when it comes to this.

I just want to build a small to average size house and sell it. I have built, remodeled, added on to and renovated many homes for many years. Its a real passion but for other reasons I got involved in medical. I would like to again build a house to sell. Home warranties were always a buyers option. Im noticing in all the various cities permit requirements that the builder must provide a standard warranty (cost to builder is determined by the sale price of the house). Is this a federally madated rule and would it apply to me just building one house, or have the local beauracracies gotten too big for their own good? And what about building outside city limits(county)?

I am buying a house that is occupied by tenants. They do not have a least or contract. According to their current landlord, they are on a month to month agreement. I live in Illinois, and to my understand, under the circumstances of the month to month rent agreement they are living by, their current landlord only has to give them a 30 day notice/warning to leave the property or work a deal out with the new landlord (me) before closing on the house. Am I correct?

When I take over, I do not want them in the property, so what does the current landlord has to do to insure when the title is transferred I will not recieve the house occupied with unwanted tenants?

What is a fair rental rate to charge a family member living in our home?
My husband’s 30-year-old brother lives with us and has not been helping out financially or physically around the house. No housework, no rent and no contribution to groceries or toiletry items. He is a healthy capable man simply taking advantage.
As much as I would like for him to simply move out and have his own place... that is not an option right now. So, in the mean time, I would like to start charging rent.
The monthly mortgage payment on our home is $875 and with electric, gas, water and trash it comes to a monthly total of $1365.00. Help!!

I have been living in this apartment for two years and I would like to ask for lower rent or, even better, some free months. When I first moved in they gave me 3 free months. Could I still negotiate a better deal?

My husband and I are currently renting. The garbage disposal is broken. We talked to our landlords about this and they said they would reimburse us for a new one but would not pay for the labor to install it. My husband has done a lot of work on this house for reduction in rent but he does not know how to install a garbage disposal, so we would have to hire someone. Is my landlord being unfair? It brokeout of normal wear and tear. My feeling is the garbage disposal should be treated like the dishwasher, etc. Thanks!
