I'm relocating and have a budget. Would like to live in brooklyn to save up some $$, and will be working b/t Herald Sq. & Penn Station. How's Greenpoint, Williamsburg, or Brooklyn Heights? Are these areas safe, are there a lot to do around? Thanks

The best place to live in Brooklyn is around Kings Highway, Ocean Avenue & Brighton Beach area. You can find a sublet that is under rent control. I have had friends live there and that is what they did.

I lived in Brooklyn Heights for years and that i enjoyed it!! it quite is handy to the city, in basic terms one or 2 stops on the subway, and by utilising automobile or taxi, it quite is top on the Brooklyn end of the Brooklyn Bridge. it quite is thoroughly eye-catching and exquisite in each way, and the "prom" on the tip of Montague St., with its perspectives of the huge apple skyline are in simple terms precious. on the different hand, it quite is high priced... very high priced, yet, in case you are able to discover the money for it in any respect, and you're able to desire to stay in Brooklyn, then Brooklyn Heights is definitely the A#a million best area of ALL of Brooklyn, bar none!! stable luck, and the hyperlink under is to an internet site all approximately Brooklyn Heights...

The best place to live in Brooklyn is "no where"! If you are seriously a young professional and want your money to go farther, try moving to some of these up and coming, more southern metropolitan cities. The cost of living is lower, salaries higher, crime less and they are the new trendy hot spots. I left NY in 2000 and don't want to go back. Alexandria VA (DC metro area), Bethesda MD, Raleigh NC, and Atlanta GA are some HOT areas for young professionals. I hope this helps you. :)
