I have £3,500 on a credit card which is 16% interest rate which works out at approx £80 interest per month on top. I also have an overdraft of £600.

I have gone on to uswitch but other credit card companies wont transfer these two amounts over as they set a credit limit based on income.

Is there any other way I can avoid these high interest charges and clear my debts? Thanks

When a debt collector calls many times, say above 10 times in one day, who can I contact about this? And is that considered harrassment? The companies never leave any messages and the few times I have answered the phone, it has been a pre-recorded messages telling me to call them back. What can I do about this?

In other words, if i spend $100 on my card, I might earn 100 points. But lets say i make only the minimum payment, and the next month they charge me $30 in interest. When I pay off the $30 in interest, do i earn 30 additional points? Is there a standard that most cards follow regarding this?

I purchased something from Wal-Mart that I would like to return. The problem is you must have a receipt. I ALWAYS throw away my receipts. (I usually use my cards)
I used my credit card to make the purchase but I do not know if that will qualify.
Can I use my bank statement as a receipt?

Hi!
As expected..I am engaging Crapital One on this. It seems 7 years wasn't enough to them on my report...and promptly re-aged the line with lies with Equifax. Oddly enough..they didn't touch the lines on the other bureaus. Any successful war stories to share? So far I have filed a BBBcomplaint and just sent them a bunch of proof. I'm thinking FTC and Virginia Attorney General are two good next stops. Ideas?

Thanks

Ok here it is... My bank in another state where my mom lives went to $2... I spent $5 at McDonalds... they charged me $5 a day for 15 days, I sent my mom to the bank to deposit $50 and didnt tell her why... They wouldnt let her, the account closed -$75. The bank manager says sorry, send her back down and we'll re-open it.
My mom goes back and they not only wont let her deposit the money, they tell her my account went negative, has been sent to collection and is going on my credit history! What can I do? Sue them for giving out personal credit info?!

Electric, student loans, etc I have never missed a payment.

It says 18 accounts in good standing.
Why the low score

I'm a British citizen living in the UK and I've never had any problems with credit whatsoever and nothing has changed in terms of meeting my monthly payments without fail and on time.

I have moved house once and been out of the country for some time, although since then I've successfully applied for a new credit card and bank account.

The mobile phone shop told me they use Equifax who declined me but could give me no further explanantion as to why. The Equifax website is charging £15 for a credit report and £17 for a credit rating but there must be a cheaper way to get this information?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I bought a car through a car dealership and got a loan as usual thru the dealer. Happy with my new car I left the dealer. About 2 months later I receive a phone call from another bank asking me why i haven't paid my bill and they are sending someone to repossess my car. Not aware what was going on, I called the dealer and they did not call me back for days. When they did, they had no resolution.

To make a long story short, I had 2 loans in my name for the same car. After about 6 - 9 months of badgering with the dealer to sort this out, they tried to pay this other loan off which they took out in my name. This error has ruined my credit score. The problem is now I get a call [1 year later] from the same loan provider asking me why I have not paid the balance. There is still a balance on the loan which was taken out in my name incorrectly. I have tried to call the dealership but nothing.

Can I sue? Any help appreciated. What type of lawyer would i call if i can sue?

I can't think of anything additional that they can get from the image since I've already sent them my credit card number, verification code, etc., and they've already shipped the order, but maybe I'm missing something? It seems like a strange request, but perhaps they're using an outdated credit processing service.
