on my credit report , i have a few negative items that have been updated to 4/07 and 3/07 yet i know that these items are years old , what can i do about them , this information has been manipulated by the creditors to keep the items current on my report ....

Updating is not re-aging.
Though it does make the account "seem" newer than it actually is.

Re-aging is when they change the obsolescence date. If they have done that, it would definately be a violation.

It goes by date of last activity, so if you did ANYTHING, it will update the date. That is legal.

Pay the stuff off, and in a few years your credit will be great.
