I have an old account. I have paid this once but can find no record of it. I was talking to a collection company that had contacted me six years after this was paid. I thought the sol was six years here in KY, but they say if they have a copy of the terms and agreements from the original account it is 12 years. Does anyone know if this is true.

Someone faxed over a credit application that is signed. They want us to set a credit limit for them. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it. Am I supposed to call the banks that they have listed? What am I supposed to ask the banks?

I receive more credit card mail a month after my credit score drops than when it is high. It's been low for a while and I have received dozens more mail than I have ever before. When it goes up I will see if it slows down and report back.

Hi,

My partner owes around 20k to misc creditors as unsecured debt with some overdue etc. He has a steady job and has his budget under control now since his family situation changed and could provide a $200 monthly payment. His credit rating needs improvement but turns around 533 which isn't too bad.

Avoiding the bankruptcy path, what other solutions could you guys recommend for him to consolidate and renegotiate his debts into a single monthly payment or something without going into sky-high interest rates institutions?

I may be interested by pro offers too but please I am mainly looking for real people advice.

Thanks you all!!!

Andie

If you have the above mentioned debts and live overseas, are you likely to be arrested upon return to the uk at the airport for a visit only not to move back to the uk? I have been told that yes you can be if the collection agencies have filed against you? Please can someone confirm this. Also I do not need any lectures on debt
Thank you.

I was recently a victim of fraud. I am a college student and my school is over 300 miles away from home. The company sent the card without me knowing and someone retrieved it, assuming at my house. The charged over $1700 worth of stuff. I found out about the charges over 3 months later. I contacted the company and they said since, it was at my house I have to pay for it.

I know someone who has a check out at one of those check cashing places & he just recently lost his job. He had some checks bounce, so they closed his checking account out & he's in the negative. He's in debt now. He's worried about what this check cashing place could do to him, if he can't pay the check off. I know that if he doesn't go down there & pay, that they will try to cash the check. But like I said, his checking account is now closed. Does anyone know what they can do to him? Can it get really serious, like could he be taken to court or anything like that, over it? I think he may have written a check to another check cashing place as well. He said when he signed the form, it said he was agreeing that he didn't have checks out over $500, but w/that other one, it's over $600. What if he can't pay either one? Does anyone know from experience or that maybe works for a check cashing place? Dont know if it will help, but he's from TN. I'm trying to get advice, to help him. Thanks

i'm 18,and still receive a benefit check from the government every month, they may cut this year ater i graduate, some ppl told me that i can't open a bank account, because when i give my social security number the government will stop sending me checks, is it true, i just bought a visa prepaid card, but i have to give them my social security number to activate it, i'm afraid that the government may say that i no longer qualify for benefit checks, please ppl tell me the truth.

I have no credit/debit card, but I would like to make a reservation for a Ramada Inn hotel in New Jersey. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of the Ramada Inn's reservation policies? I could possibly use a parent's credit card to make the reservation, but I would not be able to provide the credit card at check-in/check-out. Does anyone know if the Ramada Inn accepts cash at check-in? Thanks in advance.

1. You have purchased a home for $150,000. Fortunately, you were able to make a down payment of $15,000, but took out a 30-year mortgage for the $135,000 balance. The note payments are $1,388.63 per month at 12% annual interest.
A. Prepare the amortization schedule for the first 12 months of payments and give a subtotal for the amounts of cash payments, interest payments, and principal payments for these 12 months.
B. Calculate the total amount of interest that will be paid over the life of this loan.
C. Calculate the total dollar cost of this home over the 30 years.

2. Assume the same facts and requirements as in #4 above, except that the mortgage is a 15-year mortgage and the amount of monthly loan payments is $1,620.23.

I was trying to find out how does the Statue of Limitation work. For example I have an auto loan that has been delinquent since 2003. I got the loan in the state of Nevada. But I remember sending my bills to a Colorado address. What state should I go by? I went through a big hardship which resulted in a repo to my car back in 2003. To this day I am still recovering from that and unfortunately I can't pay them. But the letters still keep coming and the constant credit inquiries. I want to pay what I owe however times are still rough for me and I cannot pay yet. If anyone can help that would be much appreciated. Thanks all!!!

I recently received a check in the mail for a partial amount of money that I supposedly won from a drawing. They wanted me to deposit that check and send them a personal check for a smaller amount to cover "fees and taxes". I knew this was fake. I called the better business association, a scam hotline and I called the businesses they were trying to impersonate. I even talked to the people that were trying to scam me. They were the ones giving me directions on what to do when I received the check. I kept asking questions to see what the man would do...he got very frustrated, he cursed at me and then hung up in my face. When I tried calling him back,,his whole telephone system was turned off. Has anyone been scammed like this recently or ever?
