I was recently a victim of fraud. I am a college student and my school is over 300 miles away from home. The company sent the card without me knowing and someone retrieved it, assuming at my house. The charged over $1700 worth of stuff. I found out about the charges over 3 months later. I contacted the company and they said since, it was at my house I have to pay for it.

That's crap! What does it matter where the card was? You need to fight it. Write to the company again and clearly and calmly explain the situation. Don't give up until you get some satisfaction. They count of people NOT pursuing it and giving in so don't give in. Ask to see copies of the charges and demand some proof. You have a right to know all about these bogus charges if they plan to make you pay.

That's ridiculous. If it's fraud, file a police report, and make the bank send you their standard fraud affidavit. If that still doesn't work, get a lawyer.

Raise charges and prove to the Court of law that you are innocent.Never give up till when your guilty is prounced by that court of law. However, you can appeal if not satisfied with that court's decision.
