You have a few options if you have little or no credit. First, you could apply for a credit card designed for people with poor / no credit. While these offers tend to have higher interest rates (and some additional fees) when compared to 'standard' credit cards-- they'll help you build your credit and improve your credit score. You can find a complete list of these offers here:

* I would highly recommend the Orchard Bank Platinum card.

Another option might be a 'student credit card'. Many credit card issuers are willing to give college students a chance to start proving themselves-- and their credit worthiness. These offers also have slightly higher interest rates-- but they'll have less fees than the offers above. You can find them here:

No matter what type of credit card you choose... eventually, with regular on-time payments-- you'll be able to apply for better offers with lower APR's and less fees.

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

Yes, you can get a credit card

To avail of the credit card, you should be at least 18 years of age. You should be employed or have some regular source of income. These are two important criteria and if you can give convincing proof to demonstrate your suitability, you will be easily approved. You may have failed to pay back the old credit card debt or some flaw may be present in your credit report. In this situation, getting a card will be tough.

Well first of all open you a little checking account first. It doesnt go on your credit report but it looks good to creditors. Also you want to get yourself a secured card and always pay on time. In a year you will be eligible for a unsecured card. I hope this helps.

Go to bank ask them about secured credit card just as good for credit history or close. It will require deposit but it is crucial first step. If you have extra money add on to your card so your always have zero balance. Once you have obtained card with your deposit. USE CREDIT CARD FOR EVERYTHING IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!!

In addition to what to Phil said, you also need to have steady income. I got my first credit card at age 18 (I'm now 43).
