We live in CA, Los Angeles to be more exact. Also, what happens to the car that you've leased? What about, for example, furniture that you've purchased from Levitz (the furniture store) with their financing? None of this was recent, it almost a year ago that we purchased the furniture, and 2.5 years since we bought the house.

I can get a 25k personal loan at just 2% apr. I don't need it, but I figure I could just put it in a 5% cd and profit from it. Would getting this loan lower my FICO score though?

Here is the deal. I have a $535 per month car note. I can afford it, but I would love to get a lower payment so that I can pay some principle down on my home. The new car note would be $237 or less. Thats ~$298, approximately back in my pocket.

Should I take the $535 car back? I don't know what will happen with my credit but I think another $298 is like an instant raise. So, please tell me, how would the repo affect my credit and provide your opinion on the matter.

i.e. If Comcast received the payment maybe 2 days after the date the payment is due, is it considered late and are late fees charged? Or is it a longer time period before late fees are charged?

I have been a member of Yahoo! Personals for some months with no responses, to my satisfaction. I am very disappointed in the responses I have NOT received and would like to beremoved from your roles of members. Also, that requires Yahoostopping payment withdrawals from my checking account in a timely manner, or I can simply stop payments, in the next month--which I would prefer not doing without having first notified your organization.

I was just offered a gold visa card at my bank this week and was offered a limit of 14k, the minimum allowed being 5k. Does having a higher limit help with your credit rating in the future, for mortgages etc? I'll never rack up more than 5k on the card, so is it worth it for me to ask for the upper limit?

Okay...this is a bit of an odd question. Sometimes I make my credit card payments for the next month, as soon as the bill becomes available on the previous month. So, say...the e-bill (I pay all of my bills online) might be available on the 20th or 25th of April showing the payment for the next month, but is not "due" until like May 10th or 15th. I like to go ahead and pay them ahead of time for the next month, using that e-bill indicating next month's payment on it (and not just a payment just through 'pay card' option). After I pay it, of course the 'amount due' usually drops down to $0 and it just kind of sits there and waits until the said payment date for the statement to come out several days after the due date. I don't know why I'm asking on here. I'm guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance that I'm not doing something odd to confuse the company or something, though their computers take care of it. Is this a good practice? Is it better to do than waiting for that month?

NCO financial keeps reporting I am in collection for $94 for an old utility bill. I have disputed this with them several times. I never paid them or received any letters from them about a collection. I never really was past due, and the account number they keep giving me is not what the Utility Company's account number for me is. The utility company sent me in writing the correct account number and proof that I have no balance.

NCO states:
Wrong account number
Wrong account dates (they list: date opened 12/2004 date closed 12/2004)
Amount sent to collection: $94
Amount due: $0

Utility Company sent me a letter that states:
Correct account number
Correct History (account opened in 1999 and paid in full; closed 11/2005 by consumer)
Amount due: $0

Should I personally dispute this with NCO again - or just dispute with the CRA's letting them know that NCO should be removed and provide a copy of the letter from the Utility Company proving NCO is wrong?

I recently had to purchase a new computer. Circuit City had 12 months no interest so I applied for the card and was approved. The computer was 1300 and the credit limit they game me was 1500. What I am wondering is will this kill my credit score. I keep all my credit cards below 20% utilization so I dont know what this kind of usage will do to me. I plan on paying it off in 6 months if that matters. Any one have an idea?

If I signed a contract with US Cellular in the state of Illinois, how long will it take for the statute of limitations to take effect and kill the debt? I've been dealing with a collections agency and they say that the statute of limitations is not up on it, so they aren't willing to deal with me for the amount that I would be willing to pay. Answers? Suggestions?
