my boyfriend grosses $640 per week. He pays $146 per week in child support. he pays $44 per week on health insurance premiums for the kids and himself. He is single and claims '1' deduction on his W-4 form. after this his net income is about $315 per week to pay his apartment rent, utilities, car insurance, food, gas, etc... would a credit card company still be able to sue him and garnish his wages since child support is already garnishing them? if he were to be sued and garnished further he would not be able to afford his rent, etc... he also owes the IRS about $5000 in back taxes but they currently have him on 'uncollectable' because of his income situation. so if he does get sued by a lender what should he do? he doesn't have the money right now to file bankruptcy and has no relatives to borrow any money from. he lives paycheck to paycheck...

This past week I found myself the victim of a scam artist who used my debit card information obtained illegally to empty my bank accounts. Before we caught it my finances were completely messed up.

I was lucky; with diligent effort we caught the **)**&^%$# so and so and he is now in jail. I would like to let the world know about this guy in case anyone ever comes into contact with him they will no he is a con artist and not give him any information. But, I don't know the best way to do it. Is anyone familiar with the blogsphere ... would that be a good way to get the word out? Any help would be nice as I am a pretty nice person, and this guy is a REAL BAD person.
:-)
thanks

My sister is in debt and would like to consolidate. The catch is that she would like me to co-sign with her on the loan.

I don't know alot about co-signing but I do know the risks for me far outweigh the benefits. I assume that if things go bad, I will end up royally screwed. So my question is, is there really any good reason to co-sign on a loan with anyone, ever?

I am considering getting a secured personal loan from them but they are requesting 4 mos. of payments upfront ($860) which will be applied to my principal and my first payment won't be until 07/07. Does this sound normal/legit? Please advise. Thanks!

My husband and I were doing really well with our credit, ect... But when he switched jobs for less money, assuming he was going to be making more money VERY shortly, and didnt, we couldnt pay some things we got ourselves into. He just got a new job FINALLY after months of searching and 100's of resumes, and we are trying to fix it all. We have 2 credit cards, and a verizon bill on his credit that we havent payed on. A few other smaller things, but these are the main. When I just checked his report, these all just say "bad debt" or "written off" ect. It give the date when they will be taken off our credit. Which is like 7 years. We want our credit to be good (mine is, his isnt since everything was in his name).

My question is, now that we have a better income, we want to consolidate everything. We would like to consolidate it all, including the credit cards and verizon bills. Since these were written off, is that still possible? Will they still accept money from us?

i am able too do this as i live in my mothers house at the moment and am buying house next door. I got my mortgage by providing a letter from my bank saying ive always been registered at my mothers address. What can i do? also i dont have a credit card only debit card. I went through with all this via my financial advisor but now solicitor has also requested this too me. I can obviously provide bank statements off my deposit etc but dont have any bills registered in my name. I hope this dont cause anymore problems as ive just got my offer letter from the bank saying they agree too the loan.

Last month, my score was 662, but then it suddenly went down to 644. I haven't opened any new accounts, and i've actually been paying down my debt (on time) and not using my credit cards at all. The only thing I've down is apply to live in a new apartment. Could that application and/or inquiry from the landlord brought down my credit score??

My husband tryed to open an account at a local bank & was turned down due to his credit report.
after checking it over we discovered that there was a claim from a c.c agency that we were not aware of.
to make a long story short i contacted the co & was told who it was from.(try to follow me)
my husband owned a shop 5yrs ago & a man dropped his truck off for potential work & was not heard from again( tryed to reach via phone, last address) the truck remained there for several months & one day was gone.
so now the collection against us is from this fellow, this is the 1st heard of any of this.
I was told he " made a statement" & that is the result of the $3,800 on our report. No bill was ever written, there was never a small claims court hearing .nothing .
can you walk in & "make a statement" on anyone w/out documentation?
the credit collection co told me they would ASK this man if we could have a copy!!!
its been 3wks & nothing.
whats my next step?
any input would be great.

I am fighting a battle with a company that says my employer has an account (or a credit card) with them and owes them a lot of money. He never applied for this account or any account with this company and now it has come to them bringing in an attorney.
My employer wants me to fight them the problem is that this all began back in 2005 and we have done very little if much to fight them until now. I filed a complaint with ftc.gov, but people are telling me that I should also report Identity theft. I need a police report to go with this don't I? Isn't it too late? Where do I go from here without going to court?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
