I was divorced a year ago and and honestly went kind of nuts I am not sure where to turn. I stopped paying on them and now the calls have started. I do not own anything and currently am paying on my car. I can not file for bankrupcy because one of the credit account was a joint account. I need to repay this ASAP. But then need to try to pay for the bankrucy which I consulted a lawyer and was told I would need to come up 1800 more dollars. I need ideas as to what I can to to end all of this..

In hopes of raising my score 5 points I just paid off one of my credit cards leaving a balance of about $5.00. The credit card will report to the CRA's tom, March 16. My question is: will my score raise simulataneously (if at all)?

Thanks in advance.

As you know, its getting tougher and tougher to get a subprime loan. Requirments are going up, banks are closing their doors, etc. What do you think will happen to all the clients who want to buy a home, but have low credit scored and need 100% finance? What are creative ways/loopholes around these clients getting into a home.

i need to get my car out of the shop, so i was going to write a personal check for $1000, however, my bank only has $200 in it, i dont have any other way to do it. The last time my bank accidentally over drafted, it got up to $960. I plan on paying it back monthly by making $200 dollar payments. I know it will look bad on my banking records, but i have to do what i have to do in order to get this fixed. Any suggestions? I dont think i could get a loan b/c i have a past due credit card.

My fiance and I are planning to buy a home together before we're married. My Credit Score is 885, but he foreclosed on a mortgage 4 years ago and at last check he was in the 600's. We would need our combined income to afford the house we want. Would our credit scores get averaged together? Will having a mortgage with someone with a low score effect my score?

I am paying a credit card debt but only making the minimum payment per month. I know that I soon will be unable to do this so I want to know how I should approach the company with a view to stopping the interest being added and accepting a lower payment. Even suggesting they accept a percentage of the debt for settlement. At the moment the account is not in arrears and I pay everymonth on time.
This is the only way I can see that I will be able to pay off the debt as adding so much interest only makes it like fighting a loosing battle.
I am not in a position to transfer the debt to a lower rate card nor can I get a loan.
I would be grateful if someone gave me an example of the letter I should write
thankyou

Help! Questions regarding credit card charge offs and judgements. It is a bit complicated as I used to live and work in the U.S but have relocated to another country. I am not a U.S. citizen. (i studied and worked there for a while)
I have multiple credit card charge offs that have large amount(over 5000 each). I have several questions:
1.I am wondering how likely will I get sued?
2.how will they serve me if I am no longer living in the country? I did not provide a forwarding address.
3.Does it matter that I am not a U.S. citizen? (will that harm or benefit my case?)
4.If they do serve me successfully for whatever reason, what do I need to do, considering that I am overseas? Should I react?
5.If I plan to come back to study or work after a couple of years, will this situation affect my chances of getting a student/work visa? What about a tourist visa?

I am very concern about the legal impacts. will i be okay if i use another passport to apply or something? thanks!!

I am going to school this summer, but have plenty of time to work afternoons, nights, and weekends..and the entire second half of the summer. I would reallly like to buy a certain car this summer, at around $12,000.00. However, I am JUST applying for a credit card and believe I may not have enough credit yet. How can I go about getting prequalified for a car loan? I do some of my own work already, but I can not claim it because it is fiberglass fabrcation and I do not have a registered business..just for some people with the same interests as me. I make over a grand each month with this. I am going to be working at UNO Chicago Grill or a local sports bar, and am currently employed at GRCC tutoring between classes.

So assuming I'll be able to make the payments, what steps should I take to have a shot of getting this loan, and preferably without a cosigner(if possible)

I have a graduate account with an interest free overdraft. I have to pay the overdraft back by this May. There was nothing in the contract which stated I had to pay any money into my account prior to this date.

I have just applied for a credit card and it has been rejected. I checked my credit report with Experian and from Sept-Nov of last year there were three "missed" payments on my bank account, despite there being NO debits/standing orders or any other form of debit from my account.

I have been told to take my credit report into a branch and see an assitant to sort this out.

Clearly there has been a mistake. How long will this take to sort out? How long will it take to get this blemish taken off of what is a perfect credit history?? Its really annoyed me cos of the hassle & because i needed the credit card for an essential purchase.

Thanks for your help.
