My bankruptcy was discharged 11 years ago. I now have other credit cards with high limits. Financed a home 2 years ago. In Jan 2007 my company says they will only accept AmEx Corporate card for company travel, and gave me the application to fill out. I got a notice from AmEx yesterday stating my appilcation was declined b/c my other card (12 years ago) was canceled for "derogatory" reasons.

We moved to Spain in 2003 and now I have to return to the UK due to us splitting up. My husband told me today that he did not pay off his credit card bill or loan (both in joint names) Will this effect me getting a mortgage back in the UK. We have had a mortgage in Spain for 3 and half years and a credit card, can this go in my favour or do UK lenders not check foreign accounts and will I have a CCJ even though we'd left the Country.

I took out a car loan for someone who now is my ex we ended in very bad terms. he broke up with me. he said he was going to continue making payments but to pay it all in full it would take about years. I refuse to have any kind of relationship with him. I suggested we take out a loan where I co-sign and then in a year or less he can build up enough credit to take out his own loan. (right now he can't on his own because he doesn't have credit and by me co-signing and putting him on the loan i assume this keep him more on his toes when it comes to paying and i'll get out of it sooner). Now to do all this the dealership needs his info for the loan application i've asked him the dealership has called him and he tells me when he gets a chance and he tells the dealership he will call back. I'm very annoyed because he ended the relationship and it would only seem logical for him to want to get out of all this quicker than i do. what should i do? it's been two weeks that hes playing these game

Before you go calling the credit police on me, I'm just wondering if overstating your income on a credit application can lead to anything really detrimental to someone. I have to fill out a credit application for a new car and since I have no credit history I have a cosigner who has more credit than me but has less income.

The dealership requires my cosigner to be the "primary applicant" since he is the one who holds the credit. We were thinking of falsifying his income and increasing the amount he makes so the dealership will approve our financing request on the first go around.

Once I can get my real cosigner (with significant income and credit) to cosign for me (after 3-4 months that the original cosigner signs) I will refinance and have them (the second cosigner) cosign for a cheaper rate, and true documented income.

I'm asking if this would be harmless to do, since I'm pretty sure dealerships check your credit and not into your income & job details.

I'm looking for a cash back card. Miles, gift certificates, etc don't really interest me. I'm looking for a card to use on literally everything I buy (which I will pay off monthly so interest isn't a deciding factor) and accrue some cash back while I'm at it.
Several people reccomended Chase cards because they had a 5% cash back rate on "everyday purchases", but I wasn't able to find any that had better than 3%. Are there any cards still out there with 5% or better?
I've seen many similar questions to this one on here, but most of them seem dated.

Any suggestions?
