If you're certain this isn't an account you open, no worries! Sleep well, eat well, and live long and prosper.
At your earliest convenience, contact the major credit bureaus and request to dispute the account (it's not yours --- you didn't open it). The bank has 30 days to prove you own the account/debt. If they can't prove it, the credit bureau will automatically remove the account from your credit report.
Separately, you'll also want to notify the bank and let them know you didn't open that account. The burden falls on them to prove if you did.
In any case, good luck!

You need to contact your local authorities and the place that the credit was opened. Its against the law, and you are not liable for fraud. i would most certainly ensure that whatever it is, is removed from your credit report after all is said and done so it does not affect you in the future. Immediately, contact the agency that the credit was opened with and let them know its fraudelent, and then you can contact the local police and they'll let you know what to do from there. Good luck and sorry for your misfortune.

Before talking to the police (which you should), contact the loan company. Strike at the source (or resource)!

Report this to the police, and to the three credit bureaus. Also, if you know where the loan was obtained, to the lender.
