If you actually sign a lease, the apartment MAY update your address with the credit bureau. When they check your credit, they have not yet approved your application. Since you may not be moving in, they have not reason to change your credit file.

No, not unless your actual creditors are notified of your change of address. Banks and credit card companies are usually the source of address info on your credit file.

If you applied for an apartment and did not end up renting it for whatever reason, you would not want that address to end up being on your credit file.
