I recently checked my credit report and I have a lot of medical bills on that! I thought they were not supposed to be on your credit.

Right now I'm paying 19% APR on my Capital One credit card..... is it possible to get them to drop it to 10%? I have tried calling other card companies in the past but they always say no, I ask for the supervisor and they say no too. Then I get a letter saying they don't negotiate APR. I believe this was Merrick Bank.

I remember in the past, when I tried to cancel a Capital One account the automated voice asked if I were cancelling due to the rate or the annual fee. When I selected annual fee, it offered to take $20 off the fee, which I accepted. So do they still offer this via automated services?

I'm 24 and have never had a credit card. I think I will probably get one when I return to school next year. However, I'm wondering what my credit score is. I have lived on my own and paid my own bills. I have several savings accounts/CDs. I have had the same job for some time now. Does any of this go into determining my credit or is it just credit cards? I apologize if this is a stupid question. =)

Besides paying everything off, not charging too much etc. What else in the meantime that may be helpful???....Any tricks of the trade you have learned over the years on erasing things on reports, and/or demanding companies to change things that has adversely affected your score???

This is for a timeshare we bought, but they committed fraud, we tried to cancel but they would always give us the run around. We never gave them our social security # and this was done in mexico. Either way, we never made a payment to the timeshare and they just sent us a letter saying that they will report us to all major credit bureous. How long before they ACTUALLY do?

I am slowly rebuilding my credit, but it is still poor. I just got a new job where I have to carry a credit card to cover travel expensises until I am reimbursed. Need to know a good place to apply for a card that will allow me at least $2000 limit with as little fees and deposits as possible.

I am paying off a Discover card that I closed so they are probably not an option.

Anybody pleased with a particular company or card?
