It will only affect your credit if you are so overdrawn that the bank closes your account and you don't pay it back.

Bouncing a check will affect your credit history if it's reported by the company that received the bounced check.
Not bouncing checks, paying bills on time, basically managing your credit will give you good credit.

Ditto AB......HOWEVER, I will say this. If you leave the account in a negative status and never take care of it, it can be very difficult to get another checking account somewhere else. Other banks will run you through Chexsystems.
I am not sure if it goes on an actual credit report, however.

Fortunately, your checking account is not reflected on your credit report. So, overdrawing, bouncing a check does not adversely affect your score and vice versa of never overdrawing or bouncing a check does not help your score.

Everything you do effects your credit rating. Information is kept in the National Collective Information Center. Paying back loans gives good credit.

Bouncing a check will affect your credit when they report it to one of the credit reporting bureaus, but the banks don't report to them.

This will depend on if the person who got the bad check reports it to the credit agency- and most of them do.
