My roommate had bad credit and purchased a couch under my name, proceeded to sell it on Ebay and then gamble the money away. Now a law firm has contacted me saying they are suing me and I will be responsible for attorney's fees and court costs. My credit has been damaged anyway due to other things with my old roommate. Should I be worried that they will sue and force me to pay it by taking it out of my paycheck or taxes?

I contacted one of my creditors, explained my situation, and they've agreed to waive the $5000 extra in interest fees, and will accept a montly payment on the principle amount without adding additional interest. So every penny I send will go to the amount owed. Is there anything I should know before signing the papers agreeing to this arrangement? Can the collector later require that I pay the $5000 of extra interest fees and more? According to the collector, as long as I make monthly payments as scheduled on the principle amount, they will not take me to court for a judgement, or interest fees? Has anyone else been offered this type of arrangement? According to the collector, since I don't have any assets and I'm on a fixed income, they'd rather work with me, than take this to court. Thanks

I have the option to settle for less on one of my debts but the creditor says that they will report a i9 to the credit beaureas. I know an i9 is for a repo (which this was) and im wondering if I should even bother paying if its still going to hurt my credit?

I thought I wanted Pay Pal for through Christmas but my husband told me to close the account and I Did approx. 3 weeks ago. I received from you thanking me of notifying you and cancelling it although I may want to get Pay Pal in the future. For now you said that you had closed me out and today I received a notice that if I did not answer your email that my account would be suspended. I directed you to send me back my $175.00 that u took out of my band account back to the bank. You acknowledged this and if I don't hear from you soon I will send let my Lawyer take care of this matter. Thank u very much. ASAP, Beverly Jo Peters

Like on credit card checks, they charge a percentage of the check as a fee. I plain forgot how to do this. I feel so dumb. When I learned, there weren't personal calculaters. Could someone please tell me how to use the calculater to figure 3.99%, THANKS

I have a Wal-Mart card and the credit limit is only
$100.00. I would appreciate it if you would allow
me to get an increase to at least $500.00. Thank you for your consideration in my request.
