i have been told that my loan is guaranteed and all i need is to pay 50pounds for the money to be released. ive asked if theres still a chance i could be declined and theyve said there isnt as i have already been accepted. im unsure whether they are trustworthy.

id like to respond to someone who said i should apply for the loan myself. I have applied tpo may places and been turned down due to my credit rating. I applied here and got told id been accepted but had to pay the fee. The fee is not a problem, it's the fact i dont want to pay if theyre just going to reject me!

Me neither. What is the name of the company? Any company giving loans should be registered and authorised by the Financial Services Authority, it is illegal for them to offer loans otherwise. You can check them with the FSA's online register or ring to check. The link to the register is

http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register

and their contact no is 0845 606 1234.

or email: consumerhelp@fsa.gov.uk

Hope that helps

The reason you are being charged a fee is that the company you are using is probably a broker and that will be the only fee they get for their work in arranging a loan for you, some people on here amaze me they want to apply for a loan and have someone do the work then complain when there is a small fee for that work!!!!

What state are you in? It doesn't sound like a really up standing deal. Did you get a pre-approval letter from the lending institution. My rule of thumb is "everything in writing". If you get a contract ask your representative to explain it paragraph by paragraph....tell him this "explain it to me like I was a two year old". Don't be afraid...ask lots of questions...ask them again..and again...until you full understand and then sign. Never rush into something (especially financial matters that are full of legal mumbo jumbo) until "you" are clear about what you are doing. And if it doesn't feel right...don't do it.

the company says you have been accepted and sends you documents to sign, and you send them back with a cheque or postal order for £50 ,they cash your order or cheque, they do not release any loan to you ,all they do is circulate your name and details to other finance companies.

YOU NEVER PAY ANY COMPANY MONEY TO
RELEASE A LOAN
