I recently checked my credit report and I have a lot of medical bills on that! I thought they were not supposed to be on your credit.

I don't see why they wouldn't be included. They are a debt just like anything else that's on the report.

Yes, everything you buy, then need to pay later is on
your credit report

How they determine what your risk, depends more on what
types of bills, along with how late, and what still needs to be paid.

Yes they can be. Although from what I have been told creditors don't pay as much attention to debt owed from Medical bills as they would from other creditors.

If you didn't pay them and you owe the money, sure they can appear on your credit. What made you think this wouldn't be the case?

Common misconception: as long as it is financial information only, medical bills can appear.

I would think they could only be there if they're in default. If they're being paid on a payment plan, that could also show on there.... but that would be to your benefit if you pay them on time.
