Ive read that, when reporting to credit agencys, some secured credit cards dont state that your card is secure. This makes it appear as if it could be unsecure when someone looks at your credit report. Anyone know of any like this?

Storehouse's parent, The Rowe Cos., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, All Storehouse locations are being closed.

I am set to pay them $1400 dollars (1/31/06) for a piece of furniture I bought from them with their credit card (12 months no interest).

The credit card is through a 3rd party...HSBC Retail Services.

I am eighteen years old, and got my first credit card a few months ago. I am very serious about keeping perfect credit, and I know that there is more to it than just paying my bills on time. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

like, if i owe a lot of money to 3 or 4 credit card companyes (like 4k each) on cash advances I know the interest rates are higher by a lot but is there a difference if the debt was for regular purchases? will they come after me more than if they were'nt cash advances? can I still file bankrupcy to get out of the debt?

I know there are three places to get your score from but I've see websites that get your score from all three places for a discount.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where or how I should get my credit score checked.

Will getting it checked by all three places effect my credit?
Should I maybe only get it scored by one creditor?

thanks

We got a home equity loan in June to consolidate credit card bills, another home equity line, and small construction loan. Things were fine until I was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and declared disabled. I receive social security, which is currently one-half of my former salary, but only until my children graduate when it will drop to one-third. We now realize that we cannot pay for my graduate school loan (simple bank loan-not federal), the car loan, the equity loan, AND the home first mortgage. We can pay for a cheaper car and the first mortgage for the home, but not the equity loan too. Can I put SOME not all of the equity loan onto my unsecured loan to "pay it down" so that when we file bankruptcy we can afford to keep our home?
