I am eighteen years old, and got my first credit card a few months ago. I am very serious about keeping perfect credit, and I know that there is more to it than just paying my bills on time. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Obviously pay your bills on time, but then what?

Build, Build Build!!!!

Here is a fantastic article on exactly that: http://www.expert-credit-advice.com/building_credit.htm

The piggyback technique will get you going in warp speed if someone is nice enough to help you.

I would also reccommend getting this card:

Its called the Eufora Credit Builder and it reports to the credit bureaus as an installment loan which is unique for a loaded value card.

Pay off your balance on your credit card every month. You might also want to look into taking out a small loan from a local bank...maybe like $200 and then just hold on to it and just pay it back on time or before then...that helps build good credit too.

Make small purchases on the card and pay them off early. This will def have you looking good credit wise after about 4months of doing that. Don't make purchases that you can't pay off ahead of time!
