My bank account is always negative, and I would like to get a fresh start instead of paying late fees and bounced check fees.Getting out of a bad marriage I just don't know where to turn.

This is always difficult to turn that corner, but it can be done! My best advice is to first begin by talking with your banker to make them aware of your desires and losses associated with fees. In many cases, banks are willing to give you a hand, maybe reverse some of the fees for you. Ths biggest thing long term is to maintain a positive balance in the checking account. In fact, I recommend NOT writing any checks - pay only with cash - or your check and cash card. This should help. If you don't have the cash - don't buy it! Next thing is to get a store credit card, charge on it once, then pay it off completely. Slowly but surely you will build up positive credit, but there is no quick fix! It takes months... Be methodical about it and you'll get there. Good luck!
