I have agreed to pay a substantial amount for credit repair services and now I am worrying that it won't work. They say they can increase my credit score by 100-200 points. At this point I could still back out of it.

I don't have large amount for money for down payment (only $50k).
- What should I do to build a good credit to buy a house for the first time?
- I do have car loan already and the payment never late.
- I joined a credit union (OCTFCU) since 2 years ago.
- Do I need a retirement plan?
What is maximum house price that I can get?
What should I do, in term of my credit, if I want to buy at least $600k house?
Much appriciate it.

I heard a news story about this in my hometown but I didn't get a chance to actually watch the story to see how to get rid of credit card mailings. Everyday when I come home to check the mail..there are pesty mailings from credit card companies. I don't have a credit card and will never get another one.

Instead of paying on 2 credit cards that are fairly high balances, should I pay them off with a equity loan and have one payment and keep my credit card balances zeroed out each month.....

I'm getting charged a $39 late fee (which I am refusing to pay or they'll lose my business) because the payment that I made EARLY posted less than 24 hours before the end of the previous "statement" period, so it applied to the balance but not to the "minimum balance due" for the next month. So I'm being penalized for their technicalities. This is about the 5th or 6th time I've had problems because of how long it took them to post my electronic payments!!! One time I requested it 3 days before my due date and it posted an hour after midnight on the due date and was "late". And don't forget the time when their system was down for a week and a half, conveniently right over my due date, so I wasn't able to log in and make the payment on time, so I called them before my due date and made sure they didn't charge me for their errors. These people have not gotten any late fees out of me yet and they're not gonna. Who else is fed up with their BS and wants to vent??!!?!
