like with Experian, and they remove it, does it come off of that report only, or does it come off all three reports, or do you have to dispute each company?

my other half had a account with halifax. he used his halifax card to pay aol through direct debit. we was getting a really crap service from aol so we went into the bank and asked one of the guys who works there to cancel the direct debit, we asked is there anything else from aol on his card for a direct debit and the man said no. coz we went with another internet company we didnt have anything more to do with aol. but we started getting letters from halifax saying that they were still paying aol, even though my other half had no money in the account or he never had a overdraft. we kept going back to the bank and they said there is no direct debit from aol, so we asked why was they getting paid they said they had to honor it or something. so my othe half didnt use the account anymore then we got a letter through from a debt collection agency calling them selves Blair, Oliver & Scott saying he has to pay the full amount otherwise they will take it further. what should he do??

Beware of NCO Financial. If you find them on your credit report or a letter in the mail it is probably not legal or valid.

I was told last year that my loans and credit cards will be payed off automatically when I die. I was concerned that collection agencies and banks would suck and drain my family when I am dead and have no more blood left for them to suck. I would appreciate people confirming that it is payed off when I die.

I have heard people say if you call collectors to whom you owe money and say you owe them 1200 dollars in many instances if you call them they will often settle for half. If this is true, what is said, what is the key to get them to settle?

IMy credit is not great at all, I have heard even with bad credit it is easier to be financed for a house than it is to be financed for a car. Like you request a loan for a house and a car the exact same day and exact same time to the minute. You may get approved for the house but not the car, anyone have any expierience or inputs on this?
