Or do the bills have to be with the original lenders? Also, if there are judgements against you, can those bills be consolidated as well?

I went through Experian and reported an error on my credit report. If said there was a "charge off" on a credit card I don’t ever remember owning. I received an email from Experian today and they said this will be deleted from my credit report and it was. Does this automatically come off my Trans Union and Equifax?? Or is this something I have to report with them as well and have each one look into it?

Well when I was 18-19 yrs old (now 24) I took a hefty loan out for a car from JD byrider. I left the car with my parents when i moved out of state and they got evicted from their house so they just left the car there. So i have been assuming that JD byrider picked it later or repossessed it. But people have told me they should have auctioned it off if they did pick it up and I should only be paying for the remaining balance of the loan if the auction didn't cover it all. (hopefully i got that right) But I just got a credit report from experian and equifax and it says that I have to pay full price of the car, even paying my downpayment back again. Was wondering whats going on with that and will anything happen to me because I abandoned the car. It looks like this case has been shifted to a couple agencies cause its on my credit more than once and for different amounts? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Banks have a lot of experience with projections of income based on fixed-rate mortgages. But do/did they have enough experience to be able to predict the income from the very, very large number of unconventional mortgages? Given what they know now, do you think they would have projected the same income?

I am considering personal bankruptcy, things have gotten too behind and just seem to be getting deeper and deeper. The only light at the end of the tunnel I seem to be seeing is that of a freight train. I would like to hear from anyone who has gone thru the bankruptcy route and how it has effected your life, good or bad?

I had a tab at the bar and they put 4 drinks I didn't order on there. They agreed to take one off. But when she gave me my cc slip back to sign, I was so frustrated, I left without signing and leaving it. I know my card was already charged the bill plus 20% to make room for tip, but since I didn't leave the slip I am worried they will leave it this way with the automatic 20% addtl charged. Is this allowed?

What happens if there isn't enough money left to pay off credit card debt from one's estate once they have passed away. Would a family member, i.e., an adult child be responsible.

For instance, if you owe $1000 on a bill, and the creditor knows you are disabled and legally judgement proof. If you return to work, and are willing to pay the debt to the creditor, rather than file bankruptcy(which means I'm not liable for the judgement), will a creditor agree to have the late payment history removed and show the debt as paid in full, or just have it removed completely so that the debtor can begin to rebuild their credit history?

Most people would easily opt to file bankruptcy, but I would prefer to pay off my debt if the above arrangements can be made which works out for the creditor and myself. Please, do not respond to this question if you do NOT have something to back up your answer of yes or no.

I've had plenty of people tell me NO, based on their opinions. I'm looking for some type of law or valid LEGAL reason to explain why this is or is not possible. I figure, if the credit bureaus only report what creditor's tell them, perhaps this is possible.
